Learn the classic art of paper quilling to create a fun, Valentine’s Day themed heart display! This workshop will walk you through the most basic form of paper quilling, learning how to curl, form, and adhere your designs to create a 3D work of art.  All materials needed for the class are provided including a quilling kit to continue practicing at home.

Paper Quilling is arguably as old as paper itself but continues to be a popular form of art.  Qulling involves coiling small, thin strips of paper to create a tight coil. From there, the coil is relaxed and molded with fingers or tweezers until the desired shape is attained, and is then glued down onto the canvas. This process is repeated again and again, until the canvas is complete with the final design.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Kristy Mavis

Kristy is a local artist that enjoys paper art and exploring different paper textures combined with the art of quilling.

WORKSHOP POLICIES

Registration for this event is required on our website (www.lighthousepaper.com) or in store at our Wickham Rd. location.  Walk-ins on the day of the event will only be accepted if there is space available and the instructor has materials available and Lighthouse Paper Co. reserves the right to refuse non-registered students if space and/or materials are not available.  

We will email you a ticket for admission within 24 hours of purchase.  This ticket, printed or electronic, must be shown to staff prior to the start of the workshop.  

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or have this workshop's materials shipped to you.  Lighthouse Paper Co. reserves the right to cancel this event due to limited attendance or staff shortage, in which a full refund will be promptly provided. 

Dietary Restrictions: As part of this workshop we will provide snacks and refreshments.  While we try to accommodate all attendees, please let us know of any dietary restrictions you have and we will do our best to provide alternatives.
