MAIL ART WORKSHOP

Class Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Come learn the fascinating world of mail art using vintage materials to produce elaborate, stunning Halloween-themed correspondence.  Unlike traditional art, mail art is intended to be distributed through postal services, making it artistic and functional.  Meet future penpals, swap stationery, enjoy refreshments, mingle and shop with like minded analogue enthusiasts!

Materials will be provided as part of this workshop to make your own designs, as well as light snacks, refreshments and 10% off purchases made in store (valid until 11/31/2023).  

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR: SKYLAR HAND

Skylar is a passionate creator who just happens to be a stationery fanatic.  A self described "mail fan" with dozens of pen pals around the world, she has taught several workshops to students and has gathered a huge online following of established artists and hobbyists.

WORKSHOP POLICIES

We will email you a ticket for admission within 24 hours of purchase.  This ticket, printed or electronic, must be shown to staff prior to the start of the workshop.  

Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or have this workshop's materials shipped to you.  Lighthouse Paper Co. reserves the right to cancel this event due to limited attendance or staff shortage, in which a full refund will be promptly provided. 

Dietary Restrictions: As part of this workshop we will provide snacks and refreshments.  While we try to accommodate all attendees, please let us know of any dietary restrictions you have and we will do our best to provide alternatives.

All ages are welcome to attend. 

Shipping policy

All orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 

There may be instances out of our control where we experience a delay in processing and shipping your order, such as inclement weather, staffing or delivery delays.  If there will be a delay in processing and shipping your order we will contact you with further information.

Orders totaling less than $50 - Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. 

Orders totaling $50 or more - Shipping charges are waived for your order and will be sent through standard shipping at no charge.

We offer standard international shipping to most countries outside the US. 

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Lighthouse Paper Co is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. 

If you haven’t received your order within 7 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at myorder@lighthousepaper.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

Please note that some carriers are not able to deliver shipments to US Postal Service PO Boxes.  If you wish to deliver to a PO Box, please select USPS shipping at checkout.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs for the return. 

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at myorder@lighthousepaper.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.

If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we're here to help! We offer free returns within 30 days of purchase. You can return your product for store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method.

Please note the following exceptions to our return and refund policy:

  • Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • Returned items must have tags still on and be returned in original product packaging
  • Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use

To initiate a return, please complete the following steps:

  1. Reply to your order confirmation email to request which products you would like to return
  2. Print the prepaid return shipping label that you will receive by email
  3. Send all items back to us using the label provided
