Come in and 'surf' with us in our Ink Wave Workshop with artist Antonette Willemse.
This class is for anyone who has a passion for creating unique pieces of art in uncommon ways. Using alcohol inks and stamps, students will learn fun and easy techniques to create 3 pieces of art: a 5" x 7" art piece to frame, a card on black cardstock and your own bookmark.
Get introduced to acetate film sheets and non-porous paper using alcohol inks and stamps in this beginner-level workshop. Alcohol inks are fast drying, waterproof, dye-based inks that can be used on a variety of surfaces. After learning the basic techniques and experimenting with your own projects in this class, you'll be well on your way to creating your own dramatic artworks.
The cost is $35 and all supplies are included.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Antonette Willemse
Antonette is a South African born artist who now makes the Melbourne area her home. She utilizes several Calligraphy techniques in her artwork and is a prolific oil painter and journaler.
WORKSHOP POLICIES
Registration for this event is required on our website (www.lighthousepaper.com) or in store at our Wickham Rd. location. Walk-ins on the day of the event will only be accepted if there is space available and the instructor has materials available. Lighthouse Paper Co. or Instructor reserves the right to refuse non-registered students if space or materials are not available.
We will email you a ticket for admission within 24 hours of purchase. This ticket, printed or electronic, must be shown to staff prior to the start of the workshop.
Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations as we have committed to compensating our instructor for their time, supplies and talent. However, if you are unable to attend the workshop, let us know within 48 hours and you can either send someone else in your place or have this workshop's materials shipped to you. Lighthouse Paper Co. reserves the right to cancel this event due to limited attendance or staff shortage, in which a full refund will be promptly provided.
Dietary Restrictions: As part of some workshops we provide snacks and refreshments. While we try to accommodate all attendees, please let us know of any dietary restrictions you have and we will do our best to provide alternatives.
